Who We're Looking For
The Workforce Programs Coordinator is a core member of Earth Advantage's Workforce Programs team, working alongside Workforce Training Leads and Project Managers to deliver green residential construction workforce development initiatives across Oregon and beyond. In this role, you'll help drive the day-to-day coordination that keeps our programs running well — communicating with instructors and partners, tracking project deliverables, maintaining funder/program records, and supporting the design and delivery of training programs that reach a growing network of learners.
You'll join a team whose work is deeply grounded in workforce equity. A major focus of our programs is expanding access to living-wage green construction jobs for communities historically underrepresented in the trades — including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, low-income, opportunity youth, and rural community members. Through this role, you'll develop a strong understanding of green residential construction and the career pathways within it. You bring genuine interest in this work and thrive when partnering with community-based organizations, nonprofits, professional associations, and construction pre-apprenticeship programs to connect people to these career pathways.
You're organized, see things through, and enjoy being the person a team can count on. You communicate clearly, are comfortable reaching out to a wide variety of training audiences and partners, work well independently on assigned tasks, and know when to raise questions or bring ideas forward. You're motivated by seeing programs succeed and by contributing to work that has a real impact on improving people's lives.

- Collaborate with partner program staff to provide follow-up resources and support to trainees seeking career development opportunities
- Build trust with partners and funders through supporting detailed project tracking and timely grant reporting
- Contribute to program communications, including drafting email newsletters, trainee success stories, and partner outreach materials
- Plan logistics for and participate in career fairs and other in-person events
- Help maintain and improve internal project management systems, database records, and protocols

- Demonstrated interest in sustainability and/or green building practices, with deep commitment to Earth Advantage’s mission
- Clear and respectful written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply
- Comfort working with structured project management tools and processes
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with an ability to quickly learn new online platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in program administration or project coordination
- Experience coordinating education or training course delivery
- Experience in any of the following fields: community outreach, recruitment and coordination for employment services, home weatherization, or workforce development programs in a nonprofit or social service setting
- Prior direct experience working with communities historically underrepresented in the building industry
- Demonstrated interest and/or certifications in the green building sector (LEED, WELL, BPI, SHP)
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field (education, environmental studies, sociology, communications, architecture, human resources, etc.)
- Fluency in more than one language
